RICHARD BIEGASIEWICZ

Age 87, of Batavia, died peacefully Tuesday January 24, 2017 at his home under the care of Hospice and his loving family. He was born April 23, 1929 in Batavia, NY a son of the late Adam and Sophia (Fluder) Biegasiewicz also preceded in death by his wife, Claudette "Mickey" (Martino) Biegasiewicz in 2011 and siblings, Frank (late Grace) Biegas, Eleanor (late George) Sliker, Walter Biegas, Veronica (late Robert) George, Rita (late Joseph) Barton and Patricia (late Bruno) Scopano. 

Mr. Biegasiewicz was a member of the National Guard and worked at the former C.L. Carr Co. and many years at Delco Products. Richard was a "hard working" man, always busy doing something, had a great love for his family and enjoyed shopping with his beloved Mickey. 

Surviving are his children, Richard R. (Gail) Biegasiewicz of Batavia, Gary (Tina) of Tonawanda, Rodney (Jerry) of FL and Nicki of Batavia; sister, Virginia (Angelo Aleo) Piendel of Rochester; sisters-in-law, Rose Sharp of Batavia, Shirley Biegas of FL; former daughter-in-law, Kim Biegasiewicz; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. 

Richard's family will be present from 3-7p.m. Sunday January 29 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020, where prayers will be recited Monday 9:30a.m. followed by a 10:00a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrections Parish (St. Joseph's Site), he will be laid to rest alongside his wife in St. Joseph's Cemetery and memorials in his memory are suggested to HomeCare & Hospice, Inc. 27 Liberty Street Batavia.
