Charles R. Grower, Jr.

Scottsville/Oakfield - Charles R. Grower, Jr., 57, of Scottsville and formerly of Oakfield, died unexpectedly on Sunday (May 14, 2017).

Charles was born November 15, 1959 in Batavia, the son of Onolee (Weber) Grower of Batavia and the late Charles R. Grower, Sr.

Charles loved spending time with his granddaughter, Camille Rose and was looking forward to doing the same with his soon to be grandson.  He was a Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed fishing, rock n roll music and cars, especially driving his Mustang.  Charles was a machinist at PEKO in Rochester and also liked to spend time with his pet turtles.

Surviving along with his mother, Onolee, are his son, Charles (Hope) Grower, III of Abingdon, MD; his daughter, Sara (Dante) Barnabie of Henrietta; his granddaughter, Camille Rose of Abingdon, MD; three sisters, Susan (Kelly) Merkel of Basom, Sandra (Jeff) Maxwell of Oakfield and Lynette (Ron Freeman) Davis of Perry and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There are no prior calling hours.  Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia.  Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Ave., Buffalo, NY 14214 or online at https://buffalozoo.org/donate/.
