Daniel F. Acquard Sr.

Daniel F. Acquard Sr., 81, of Sheldon passed away on Tuesday June 27, 2017 after a 9 month battle with leukemia peacefully reunited with his wife Thelma Abbey and daughter Tina Acquard. He was born in Bennington Center to the late Florian and Stella (Karpinski) Acquard.  In addition to his parents, wife and daughter, Daniel is predeceased by 2 brothers; Theodore (Agnes) Acquard of Lancaster and Ronald Acquard.

Daniel was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic church. He was a US Army Veteran stationed at Thule Air Force Base in Greenland. In 1997 Dan retired from F.N. Burt in Cheektowaga after 27 years as a Lead Gluer Mechanic for 2nd and 3rd shift.    

He is survived by his 6 children; Daniel (Maria Gracinda) Acquard, Jr. of Horseheads, NY, Tammy ( Nicholas) Gavadin of Getzville, Douglas (Milissa) Acquard of East Aurora, Keith (Justine) Acquard of Bennington,  Kelly Acquard of Varysburg, Tracy Acquard of Varysburg; He is loved and missed by his 8 grandchildren; Cedric (Chelsea) Hoareau, Cody Acquard, Dominique Acquard, Timothy Acquard, Mathieu Acquard, Molly Acquard, Abigail Gavadin, Alexander Gavadin; 3 sisters Joan (late Gordan) Linsey of Varysburg; Dorothy (Donald) Wyckoff of Bennington; Jackie (John) Clark of Varysburg; along with several nieces and nephews.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday June 30, 2017 from 4:00-8:00PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street, Attica, NY 14011. An 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday July 1st at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish 1230 Clinton Street, Bennington, NY 14011. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bennington.
