She volunteered at Family Planning on the Livingston County Campus, worked for the Geneseo High School in their food service program, Livingston County Co-operative Extension as a nutrition aide, a substitute teacher for Livingston County BOCES in Geneseo and retired from there as a teachers aide in the Special Learning Center. Violet enjoyed reading, listening to music and especially enjoyed times spent with family.
She is survived by her 7 children: Fred (Cheryl) Englert of Wayland, Tim (Susan) Englert of Livonia, Chris (Alyson) Englert of Perry, Melinda Englert of Lockport, Doug (Paulette) Englert of N. Chili, Marvin( Jackie) Englert of Leicester and Andy (Michelle) Englert of Leicester, 20 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 3rd at 10:30 am at the Brick Presbyterian Church corner of N. Main and Church St. in Perry. She will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in Dansville.
