Margaret D. Walsh, 82, of Batavia passed away July 27, 2017 at Premier Genesee Nursing Facility after a short illness.She was born May 17, 1935 in Batavia, New York to the late Raymond and Rosalie (Kirsch) Dunham. Mrs. Walsh is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Frederick (Bob) Walsh who passed away on July 2, 2017, a son Donald (Chip) Hibsch; son-in-law Paul Donnelly; and sister Anne (Nelson) Parsons.

Marge was a 1952 graduate of Attica High School where she participated in the Junior Plays, Sr. Play Prompter, Orchestra, G.A.A and Glee Club. A note in her yearbook said, “I hope you have oodles of kids”, she did. Mrs. Walsh was the former co-owner of the Varysburg Hotel and retired employee of St. Jerome Hospital and J.C. Penny (May 19, 1997) where she made life-long friends with the ‘rat pack’. Marge loved spending time with her childhood sweetheart, Bob, reading, cooking, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She loved watching her grandchild grow into adults and took great pride in marking their accomplishments with them. Marge’s blue eyes, smiles, chicken & biscuits and apple pies will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. **143 CCRP**

She is survived by her children Cathy (Carm) Carmestro, Connie Donnelly, Robin Watts (Walt Murray), Ronald (Nancy) Hibsch, John (Nancy) Hibsch, Edward (Laurie) Hibsch, Paul (Christy) Hibsch; daughter-in-law Lynette Hibsch; Jeffrey (Sherry) Walsh, Timothy (Beth) Walsh, brother Joseph (Mary) Dunham; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Marge will also be missed by close friends Mary Swingle and John Pugliese.

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Attica, NY.
