RICHARD B. WYDER, SR.

Died Monday July 31, 2017 at United Memorial Medical Center at the age of 87. He was born August 17, 1929 in Akron, NY a son of the late Anthony and Bertha (Pietrowski) Wyder also preceded in death by his beloved wife Anita (Sumeriski) Wyder in 2011; son, Richard B. Wyder, Jr. and siblings, Mary Slupski, Clara Mrowka, Stephen, Frank & Matthew Wyder. 

Mr. Wyder was an US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired from Harrison Radiator in Lockport and a member of St. Padre Pio Parish in Oakfield. He was a member of the American Legion Glenn S. Loomis Post #332, avid fisherman, gardener and enjoyed candy making as a hobby.           

Surviving are his loving children, Peter Wyder and Stephen Wyder both of Oakfield, Michael (Missy) Wyder of TX, David (Carrie) Wyder of Perry, Brenda (Steven) Burg of Batavia, Linda (Peter) DiLorenzo of Lyndonville; brothers, Stanley Wyder of Batavia, Edward (Joyce) Wyder and sister, Victoria Graves all of Akron; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. 

The Wyder family will be present from 4-8pm Thursday August 3, 2017 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATON CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited 9:15am Friday August 4 followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial St. Padre Pio Parish (Oakfield Site), he will be laid to rest alongside his wife in the church cemetery. Memorials in his memory are suggested to Genesee Cancer Assistance 127 North Street Batavia, NY 14020.
