James Robert Weber, of Attica passed away on August 8, 2017 at the age of 86. He was born on October 24, 1930 in Buffalo to the late Charles and Irene Weber. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Patricia (Cunningham) Weber; son Charles Weber; mother and father in law Clifford (Marjorie) Cunningham; sister Eleanor Stiles; brother-in-law C. James Cunningham.

James served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Patricia Cunningham on November 12, 1949; they were married for 62 years before she passed away. James moved to Attica in 1967 where he bought a dairy farm and eventually transitioned it into a veal farm before retiring from farming in 2000. James was a very hard worker on the farm. He didn’t talk on the phone much until he got involved with Experience Works where he would find work for retired people who were in financial hardship. If he was helping someone try to find work, his family said it was very hard to get him off the phone because be wanted to help everyone who needed it.

He is survived by his sons; Michael (Darlynne) Weber of Attica, James (Diane) Weber of Attica, Bradley (Amy) Weber of Castile; a daughter Eileen Weber of NH; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Interment will be held privately for the family at Pleasant View Cemetery in Orangeville.
