Douglas C. Perfitt, 78, of Oakfield passed away on Saturday August 19, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born on August 7, 1939 in Batavia to the late Claude and Aletha (Newton) Perfitt.

Doug was involved in numerous organizations including the Oakfield Fire Department in which he served 50 years as a volunteer fireman and treasurer.  He also served as a trustee for the Oakfield Presbyterian Church and as a member on the Oakfield Better Committee which sponsored Labor Daze.  Truly a kid at heart, Doug volunteered many years for the Oakfield-Alabama Little League.  After retiring from United Parcel Service (UPS), he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and school programs, and loved carpentry work.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Ann (Landon) Perfitt; their 5 children Mark (Diane) Perfitt of IN., Nora (the late Patrick) Botsford of CA., Amy (Jim) Klos of Oakfield, Kim (Alan) Sumeriski of TN., and Eric (Lee Ann) Perfitt of Oakfield; 12 grandchildren Tyler, Bradley and Andrew Perfitt; Brooke, Ryan and Chad Botsford; Katie Klos; Kasey and Alicia Sumeriski; Brynne, Brett and McKenzie Perfitt along with several cousins.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday August 26, 2017 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Oakfield United Methodist Church 2 South Main St. Oakfield, NY 14125 where an 11:00AM Celebration of Life will immediately follow visitation at the church.
