BONNIE J. CLEVELAND

BONNIE J. CLEVELAND ~ Batavia

Died peacefully Friday August 18, 2017 at the New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia at the age of 95. She was born February 2, 1922 in Placentia, CA a daughter of the late Oscar and Angela (Mansur) Carlson also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert G. Cleveland; son, Donald Cleveland and sister, Shirley Lipps. 

Mrs. Cleveland was raised in California and remained proud of those roots, that is where she met her sweetheart, Robert while he was in the service. His dream was farming, so they came back to the area and the farm where they raised their family, that Cleveland homestead farm is still in the  family some 200 years later. Bonnie worked many years at the Oakfield Bank and enjoyed knitting.           

Surviving are her loving sons, Michael (Lorie) Cleveland of Batavia, Steven (late Barbara) Cleveland of Henrietta; 10 grandchildren, Christine (Jeff) Covel, William (Anita) Cleveland, Michael (Dawn) Cleveland II, Cathy (Derek Bell, MD) Cleveland, John (Melessa) Cleveland, Shannon( (Kevin) Abt, Eric (Stacy) Cleveland, Tara (Erik) Block, Beth (Charles) Wu and Carrie Cleveland; 18 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. 

Private funeral services will be held at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATON CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Cecelia's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory are suggested to the Activities Fund for the New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia 220 Richmond Ave. Batavia, NY 14020.
