Batavia - Harlo C. Towner, 81, of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Batavia Health Care Center, LLC.

Mr. Towner was born May 7, 1936 in Wayland, a son of the late Dewey Towner and Eva Weber Towner.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette A. Moss Towner, whom he married May 6, 1960; two daughters, Janis (Greg) Lontkowski of Batavia and Sheryl (Denley) Edgerton of Wilson; three grandchildren, Emily Lontkowski of Batavia, Cherish Edgerton of Massachusetts and Benjamin Edgerton of Wilson; his brother, William (Georgia) Towner of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; his sister, Edith (Kenneth) Deault of Tuscon, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother, Dewey E. Towner, Sr.

Friends and family may visit on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia where a celebration of Harlo’s life will follow at 7 p.m. Private burial in Maplelawn Cemetery, Elba will be held at the convenience of the family.
