AMELIO R. TADDEI ~ Oakfield

Age 93, died peacefully Tuesday morning October 24, 2017 at United Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 14, 1924 in Oakfield, NY a son of the late Piacinte and Giacinta (Miconi) Taddei also preceded in death by infant sister, Mary Taddei and brother, Julio Taddei. 

Amelio was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of St. Padre Pio Parish formerly St. Cecelia's and was one of the original Merry Men of the Parish. He was a 30+ year employee of the Graham Manufacturing Co., loved his garden being especially proud of his garlic and enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Red Lake.           

Surviving is his beloved wife of 67 years, Alice Jean (Yasses) Taddei of Oakfield; devoted father of, Carol (Martha Standish) Taddei of Pavilion, Marie (John) Blaine of Pittsburgh, PA and Marilyn (late Keith) Sheron of Batavia; dearest grandfather to, Dr. Maria (Brian) Sheron-Chung, Officer Derek (DeAnna) Blaine; great-grandfather to Weston Blaine along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation and Mr. Taddei's funeral services will be held privately at the  MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATON CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020, he will be laid to rest in St. Cecelia's Cemetery, Oakfield and memorials in his memory are suggested to Crossroads House 11 Liberty Street Batavia, New York 14020.
