Mrs. Marjorie A. Lyon

LeRoy - Marjorie A. Lyon, 96, of LeRoy, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Lyon was born August 2, 1921 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Albert and Lillian Crawford Krull.

A former member of the Bowmansville United Methodist Church, Mrs. Lyon was active in the Bowmansville Chapter of the Home Bureau. An avid gardener, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Lawrence W.  Lyon, passed away in 2011.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Ann) Lyon of Clarence, Patricia (Ron) Sherry of Pembroke, Massachusetts, John (Phyllis) Lyon of Ridgley, West Virginia and Jeffrey (Cathy) Lyon of LeRoy; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is the mother of the late James Lyon; grandmother of the late Michael Lyon and sister of the late George, Raymond, John and Robert Krull and Dorris Bindig.

Friends and family may call on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sunshine Fund at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, 10 Munson Street, LeRoy, New York 14482.
