   Maynard lost his valiant battle with AML on Tuesday evening July 7, 2015, at home, surrounded by his loving family, under Hospice care, he was 72 and resided in Elba. Born October 23, 1942, in Hilton, NY. He was the son of the late Pearl Brown Priestley and Alburton (Helen) Priestley.

   He proudly served his country in the US Air Force, and later became a federally licensed aircraft mechanic. He worked at various airports in the area, but his passion was motorcycles. He raced motorcycles for many years, and later sponsored many up and coming race contenders, most importantly his grandsons, Jeremy and Andy Thompson, and Corey Crawford and son-in-law, Jesus Crawford. He was very well known in the motorcycle racing world, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

   Surviving is the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Pat (Ruck) Priestley of Elba; four beloved daughters, Angela (Joe Maniace) Thompson of Batavia, Vicki (Dennis) Maid of Potsdam, Shelly (David) Williams of Oakfield and Eva (Jesus) Crawford of Alexander, cherished grandchildren, Jeremy (Kim) Thompson, Andy (Maria) Thompson, Jayme (Rocky) Mast, Mandy and Bobby Maid, John (Staci) Williams, Christopher (Barbie) Williams, Amy and Erik Williams, Corey (Jess) Crawford, Brent, Patrick and Breyana Crawford; proud great-grandfather of, Lilly, Madison, Jordynn, and Ryder Thompson, Kayleigh, Katelynn, Summer, and Andrew Williams, Azaya Maid, Jayden, Danielle, and Hunter Mast, Emma and Annabelle Thompson, Zoe and Fayt Meli and Tucker Crawford; brothers, Skip (Helen), Wayne (Hildegarde), Ed (Maryanne), and Terry Priestley; sisters, Eleanor Morgenberger and Dolores Yeaton along with many nieces, nephews and aunt, June Rowcliffe.

   The family will be present from 4-8 PM on Friday July 10 and 2-7 PM Saturday July 11 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020. He will be laid to rest in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba with full military honors, in lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Elba Rescue Squad Po Box 58 Elba, New York 14058 or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 1311 Mamaroneck Ave. Suite 310 White Plains, New York 10605.
