Oakfield - Elaine M. Skelton, 83, of Oakfield, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia.
Mrs. Skelton was born February 23, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late LaDue L. and Evelyn (Mason) Timby.
She was a member of the former St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Oakfield.
Her husband, James L. Skelton, died November 26, 2001.
Survivors include her daughter, Lyn (Robert) Maute of Batavia; 2 sons, Kevin (Diane) Skelton and Brian T. Skelton, both of Oakfield, a brother-in law and sister-in law, Kenneth (Virginia) Skelton of FL; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Skelton of Oakfield, Jason (Jackie Oetinger) Skelton of Rochester, James (Nicole) Skelton of Buffalo and Marcie (Mark) Kreydt of Ithaca; 6 great-grandchildren, Mattox Simms of Bath, Amelia Rose Skelton of Buffalo, Kelsey Kreydt, Courtney Kreydt and Trevor Kreydt, all of Ithaca and Owen Oetinger of Rochester; several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Christopher Brian Skelton.
Friends may call from 4 to7 p.m. Sunday at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main St., Batavia, NY 14020. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery in Oakfield.
