Frederick G. Bauer

Frederick G. Bauer Sr., age 91, of Perry, died on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at the NYS Veterans Home at Batavia. Fred was born in Perry, New York on July 13, 1923 a son of the late J. Alfred and Agnes (Gallagher) Bauer.  Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Betty J. Bauer who passed away in 2014, siblings: Rosella Plugh, Marguerite Morse and Adrian Bauer.

He served with the US Army during WWII. Fred owned and operated Fred Bauer Well Drilling for 33 years, retiring in 1987. Prior to the well drilling business he worked for Sedam’s Tire Co. in Perry where he ran the farm tire service truck. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry, the McKelton Post #350 of the American Legion in Perry, Masonic Constellation Lodge Post #404 in Perry and the Perry VFW Post #5009. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, and collecting clocks and spending time with family.

He is survived by 2 sons; Frederick (Kathy) Bauer Jr. of Perry and Lawrence (Sandy) Bauer of Hamburg, 4 grandchildren; Kimberley (Scott) Rozanski, Karen (Todd) Shuskey, Bradley (Caitlyn Gorham) Bauer and Bethany (Andrew) Bukowinski, 8 great grandchildren; Kaileen, Hannah, Gabrielle, Jessica, Chloe, McKenna, Benjamin and Colin, along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 1-3 pm on Sunday July 12th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry, where funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00pm.  He will be laid to rest in West Perry Cemetery in Perry.
