Richard Samuel Brown, age70, of Perry, NY, passed away on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at his home. Richard was born in Endicott Johnson City, NY on April 20, 1947 a son to the late Richard Carl and Gladys (Steinard) Brown. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

He served with the US Army as a medic from 1965-1969 during the Vietnam War. He worked for the former Robeson Cutlery in Castile, Champion Products in Perry and retired from the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw where he worked for 19 years where he was a medical aide. He volunteered for the Perry Emergency Ambulance in Perry for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, golfing, and especially enjoyed when his grandchildren would come to visit.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Audrey (Bernard) Brown whom he married on April 29, 1977 3 children: Heather of Baltimore, MD, Theresa (Harper) John Zielinski of Arcade, Tony Harper of Castile, a step-daughter: Delda (Cason) John Wilson of Augusta, GA.,11 grandchildren: Christopher Severson, Jarred and Jordan Harper, Lydia, Abigail, Sarah, Mary, Rachel, Joseph, Luke and Timothy Zielinski, 1 great granddaughter: Isabelle Severson, along with several other step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 4-7pm on Friday December 29th at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main Street Perry, New York 14530, where Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM. He will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
