  Herbert J. Patt Jr., 87, of Perry passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo. Herbert was born in Kendall, NY on April 21, 1930 a son of the late Herbert J. and Hedwig “Hattie” (Hunzinger) Patt Sr. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife: Betty (Rupprecht) Patt who died in 2008, a daughter: Mary Patt who died in 2007, a great grandson: Corey Ramos and sister: Ruth Berends.

He was a 1948 graduate of Kendall High School.  In 1947 he entered the Naval Reserve, he enlisted with the US Army and was on active duty during the Korean Conflict from 1949-1952, in 1953 he was in the US Army Reserve in Medina, and from 1959-1990 was a civil technician with the US Army Reserve in Batavia, he retired in 1984 as Sgt. Major, and in 1986 retired from the US Army Reserve Center where he was a facility manager. He was a life member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary where he was Flotilla Commander for 3 terms, life member of the VFW and member of the American Legion in Warsaw. He enjoyed boating. Was a life member of the Oak Orchard Power Squadron, where he held 4 terms as squadron commander.

He is survived by his wife: Gail (Noel) Becker-Patt whom he married on Nov. 2, 2013, 3 daughters: Barbara (Kenney) Crofts of Leesburg, Fl., Carol (Russ) Everitt of Brackney, PA., Catherine (Dennis) Huff of Perry, 2 sons: John (Mary) Patt of Kenmore, David Patt of Perry, 3 step-daughters: Barbara (John) Ackerman of the Town of Niagara, Donna Becker (Boy Petersen) of Lockport, Noel (Paul) Ambrusko of Cinnaminson, NJ, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren , along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends may call from 11am-1pm on Sunday December 31, 2017 at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main Street, Perry New York 14530 where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM.  He will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center, New York
