Mrs. Miles lived her life by faith, she was a minister, helped many people in the church, was an anointed speaker of the Gospel and dedicated her life to the Lord. She authored the book Journey Through the Struggle and enjoyed crocheting. The church and her family were her life, she was an excellent mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her loving children Geraldine Smith of Albion; Mattie Miles, Annie Miles, Loretta Miles all of Rochester; Katherine (Willie Joe) Shannon of LeRoy; Peter (Tracy) Miles of Buffalo; Gladys Miles of Rochester; Margaret Miles of Batavia; Dorothy Ann Miles of Rochester; brother James Brown of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020 where a 12:00 Noon Celebration of Life will immediately follow. She will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
