   Age 97, of Batavia, died peacefully Thursday August 6, 2015 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. Sophie was born in Batavia, NY on April 14, 1918, a daughter of the late John and Wanda (Sikorski) Zaremski Reimer, also preceded in death by her husband , Leon R. Morien in 2010; son, Lance Morien in 2009 and brother, Henry Zaremski.

   She was formally employed by Chapins, Doehler-Jarvis and the Batavia Daily News, but most of her married life she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart) and its Altar & Rosary Society along with the Falconette's.

   Surviving is her loving daughter, Linda (James) Nalbach of Batavia; son, Randy (Sue) Morien of Honeoye Falls, NY and daughter-in-law, Irene Morien of Phoenixville, PA; grandchildren, Jay (Kelly) Nalbach of Portland, OR, Eric (Sarah) Nalbach of Buffalo, Chelsey (Darren) McGlinchey of CO, Karlie Morien of Phoenixville, PA, Anna & Riley Morien of Honeoye Falls, NY; great-grandchildren, Isabella & Hayley Morien, Victor & Ivy Nalbach; sister, Helen Tomski of Batavia; brother, Raymond Zaremski of Conshohocken, PA; sisters-in-law, Rosalie (Gerald) Sullivan of N. Tonawanda, Helen Morien of Medina; along with several step-brothers & sisters, nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

   The family will be present from 4-6 p.m. on Monday August 10, 2015 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where the Altar & Rosary Society will recite the Rosary starting at 3:30 p.m.

   PLEASE ASSEMBLE at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Site) to celebrate Sophie's Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 11, 2015. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery alongside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested in the form of mass cards, donations to Ascension Parish or as a sponsor in the upcoming Alzheimer's Walk at the Genesee County Nursing Home in September.
