  Richard C. Hoak, 64, of Batavia passed away on November 14, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on March 18, 1954 in Batavia to the late Charles and Marjorie (VanValkenburg) Hoak.

Richard was a self-employed businessman in Batavia for many years. He was an avid collector of many things. He was huge amusement park enthusiast with a love for rollercoasters. Richard will be forever remembered as a loving father and grandfather who always cared for others.

He is survived by his daughter; Sylvia (Jon) Smith of Batavia; 3 grandchildren Tapanga (Joel Jackowski) Wheaton, Kurstin Smith and Jon Smith Jr.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday November 18, 2018 from 2:00-5:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. An 11:00AM Graveside Service will be held on Monday the 19th at Grandview Cemetery in Batavia where he will be laid to rest.
