Age 74, of Corfu, died peacefully Saturday August 15, 2015 at Hospice Buffalo in Cheektowaga. Judy was born in Tonawanda, NY on April 24, 1941, to the late James and Ruth (Hunter) Welch, also preceded in death by a brother Vincent Welch.
Mrs. Schumacher worked for many years at the Erie County Home & Infirmary, she was a member of the Corfu Garden Club and Faith Community Chapel where she sang in the choir.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 49 years, Ray Schumacher of Corfu; loving daughter, Michelle (James) Cansdale of Corfu and their children, Austin, Ryan & Connor; sons, Dennis (Diane) Zuch of Batavia and their children, Brianna, Nicholas (Rochelle); Greg (Peggy) Zuch of W. Batavia and their children, Joseph, Dottie (Danny) & Michael; Ron (Brenda) Zuch of Attica and their children, Adam & Sherri; Michael (Jennifer) Schumacher of Holiday, FL and their daughter, Elyse; brother, Bob (Diane) Welch of Grand Island; sister-in-law, Mildred Welch of Tonawanda along with many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday August 18, 2015 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 19, 2015. She will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery in Tonawanda and memorials in her memory can be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc. 16 Bank Street Batavia, New York 14020.
