NANCY MARSHALL BARTON

Batavia - Nancy Marshall Barton of Batavia, 88, retired dental hygienist for Dr. Russell Marchese, D.D.S., Batavia, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Barton was born in Kenmore, New York, the daughter of the late Robert and Violet Garlock Marshall.

Nan loved gardening and birdwatching. She found joy in her friendships and caring for others; she loved life. 

Nan will be remembered and loved by her family as being the most thoughtful, thankful person they knew. Her positive attitude and the courage she demonstrated through any situation in life made her an exemplary role model for her family. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great grand-children.

Nan's family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at The Manor House for the loving care they gave to their mother and grandmother. She made a lovely home for herself there, and cherished her friends.

Her beloved husband, Charles W. Barton, passed away on May 8, 2008.

She is survived by her children, David (Marianne) Barton of Las Vegas, Nevada; Pamela Barton of Coronado, California; Susan Dunlap (Jeffrey) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; William (Mary Kay) Barton of Silver Lake, New York; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She is the mother of the late Robert Barton.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at East Shelby Community Bible Church, 5278 East Shelby Road, Medina.  She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
