Batavia- Lorraine Kuczynski, age 91, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia, NY.

She was born on Wednesday, December 7, 1932 a daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Januzak) Kosiorek.

Lorraine was a faithful Catholic with strong beliefs in her faith. She enjoyed golfing, vacationing in Florida, cooking, horse racing, and an avid Bills and Yankees fan.

Lorraine was a dedicated Nurse for Dr. Baker in Batavia, NY and later at the NYS Veterans Hospital until her retirement.

Surviving is her brother, Ronald Kosiorek of Batavia; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Kazem) Ashrafioun of Pittsford, Eric (Brenda) Kosiorek of Batavia, Patricia Bialkowski of Darien, Larry (Kathy) Danko of Texas, Marilyn (John) O’Donnell of Lackawanna, Edward (Susan) Kowalcyk of Oakfield, Julie Kowalcyk Homsy of Ohio, Christina Kowalcyk of Batavia, Joann (Frank) Nardolilo of Florida, Donald Butlak of Lancaster, and Robert Butlak of Florida.

In death Lorraine is reunited with her parents, Walter and Katherine Kosiorek; siblings, Walter, Irene, Jane, Leonard, Helen, John, Andrew, Marian, Raymond, Norman, and Regina.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at H.E. Turner & Co., Inc. funeral Home, 403 East Main Street Batavia, NY 14020 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Lorraine’s mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00am at the Resurrection Roman Catholic Church- St. Joseph’s Worship site, 303 E Main St, Batavia, NY 14020.  Burial will be private at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lorraine’s memory to Crossroads House, 11 Liberty St, Batavia, NY 14020.
