JUDITH F. (GREENMAN) DELLAPENTA

   Age 68, of Batavia, died peacefully Thursday September 3, 2015 at the Leo Center for Caring in Irondequoit. Judy was born in N. Tonawanda, NY on January 14, 1947, to the late Willard and Pearl (Russell) Platter, also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dellapenta in 2013 and her brother, James Platter.

   Mrs. Dellapenta was very active in the area, having been an EMT with the Crittenden Fire Co., chairman of the Genesee County Fair Parade and a member of the Fair Queen Board. Judy worked for many years as a nurse aid at the former St. Jerome's Hospital while holding true to the promise she made to herself many years ago, and in 1997 she achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, at the age of 50 she became an LPN. Following her retirement she travelled cross country and continued her pastime and love of collecting Santa's, she was also a member of the "Red Hatters" in Florida where she had settled for a time.

   Surviving are her loving children, Christine (Michael) Heatherman, Jr. of OH and their children, Jessica and Amanda; Cynthia (Gordon Smith) Perez of Batavia; Kevin (Sandra) Gerrish of FL and their children, Kelsey, Quinn Gerrish and Drew Peczerwinski; brother, William Platter of FL, twin brother, Jack (Michelle) Platter of Wilson, NY and sister, Susan (Robert) Gregg of N. Tonawanda; sister-in-law, Carol Platter of Amherst along with many nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

   The family will be present from 4-8 p.m. on Friday September 11, 2015 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 12. She will be entombed with her late husband in the Father Kelly Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery, and memorials in her memory can be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc. 16 Bank Street Batavia or Crossroads House 11 Liberty Street in Batavia.
