Sonny Mayo will perform at the Stuart Steiner Theatre at Genesee Community College from 2:30–3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29th. The concert is free and open to the public. BMI Singer-songwriter, Sonny Mayo, released his first album, “So Far So Good,” out of Nashville in 1981. Mayo’s debut release was critically acclaimed by “Record World” magazine and culminated a six-year apprenticeship in Los Angeles & Nashville. Since then, Sonny Mayo has released 10 albums on the indie label, Thunder Road Music. Mayo’s most recent CD, The Patriot, is an all-acoustic production. It includes a collection of self-penned songs that examine the challenge of making correct moral decisions – a concept album, some might say. This concert is sponsored by Scholars’ Symposium, SUNY-GCC, One College Road, Batavia, NY. For more information, contact jrtoriseva@genesee.edu, 585-343-0055.
