A car vs. pole accident in reported in the area of 230 W. Main St., Batavia.

That's in the area of the Burger King.

A person reports a possible neck injury.

There are also fluid leaks.

The driver of a tractor-trailer carrying steel beams said he was eastbound on West Main when he noticed the driver of the sedan pulling out of the Burger King parking lot. He said he could see the driver looking right, but he never looked left. The truck driver saw that the car driver was going to pull out into traffic without stopping. The truck driver was able to pull over into the inside lane. Even with the evasive maneuver, the car still caught the rear tire of the truck, spinning it into the utility pole. The truck driver thinks the accident would have been much worse if he hadn't moved over.

A pickup truck and car crashed in the parking lot of Save-A-Lot, 45 Ellicott St. City of Batavia fire and Mercy medics are responding. Injuries are reported.

A car accident with injuries is reported at 6968 Transit Road. Elba Fire Department is responding along with Mercy medics. Mercy Flight is on standby.

A two-car accident is reported at Oak Street and Park Road, Batavia.

An officer on scene reports only a minor leg injury.

A two-car accident with possible entrapment is reported at Route 237 and Cockram Road. A pole is also involved. Byron and South Byron fire departments are responding along with Mercy medics.

UPDATE 2:53 p.m.: Fire police are requested to the scene.

A one-vehicle rollover accident with possible entrapment is reported on the westbound Thruway at mile market 391. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding. Mercy Flight is available if needed.

UPDATE 12:16 p.m.: Two additional ambulances are called to the scene. Mercy Flight will not be needed.

UPDATE 12:29 p.m.: One patient is being transported to UMMC.

UPDATE 12:34 p.m.: A second patient is being taken to UMMC.

UPDATE 12:42 p.m.: The assignment is back in service.

A tractor and a forklift have reportedly collided at Empire Tractor on East Main Street Road, Batavia.

An employee may have suffered a broken leg.

A bicycle has reportedly been struck on Route 98 near Goodman Road, Alexander.

Alexander fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

No word on injuries, if any.

UPDATE 8:54 a.m.: Mercy EMS response is cancelled. Alexander ambulance is on scene.

UPDATE 9:07 a.m.: Alexander fire clearing the scene. Alexander Ambulance transporting one to UMMC.

A two-car accident is reported at Route 33 and Wortendyke Road. A caller at the scene reports no injuries. It is blocking traffic. Town of Batavia Fire Department is responding along with Mercy medics for evaluation.

UPDATE 4:55 p.m.: Now one person is said to have a minor injury.

UPDATE 5:25 p.m.: A patient is being transported to UMMC.

A two-car accident is reported at North Byron and Transit roads. Four people sustained minor injuries. Byron and South Byron firefighters are responding. Mercy medics are on scene.

UPDATE 11:02 a.m.: A second ambulance is called in.

UPDATE 11:07 a.m.: Elba Fire Police are called in.

UPDATE 11:33 a.m.: At least two people have been transported to UMMC.

A has hit a tree in the area of 39 North Lake Ave., Village of Bergen. Unknown injuries.

UPDATE 2:42 a.m.: Assignment being held to a single Bergen engine.

A motorcycle accident is reported on Sumner Road near the sharp turn at Simonds Road. The rider and his bike are in a ditch. Unknown injuries. Law enforcement is on scene. Darien fire and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 5:44 p.m.: Mercy Flight, although available, will not be needed, according to medics on scene.

UPDATE 6:40 p.m.: The subject has been transported to ECMC. The Darien assignment is back in service.

A two-car accident with injuries is reported at 7228 Griswold Road. It's at the intersection of Griswold and West Bergen roads. LeRoy fire and medics are en route.

UPDATE 5:19 p.m.: A responder on scene reports that there is one minor injury.

UPDATE 5:46 p.m.: Medics are back in service; there was no patient transport.

UPDATE 6:02 p.m.: The Le Roy assignment is back in service.

A car crashed into a pole in the area of 7027 Route 237. Unknown injuries, but the driver is out of the vehicle. The pole and wires are down, blocking the roadway. The "car is smoking."

Byron and South Byron fire departments are responding along with Mercy medics.

The location is between Town Line and Cockram roads.

UPDATE 3:13 p.m.: Fire Police are called to shut down traffic at Route 237 and Cockram Road. National Grid will be contacted about the damaged equipment.

UPDATE 3:14 p.m.: Byron command says responders can come in non-emergency.

UPDATE 3:35 p.m.: Mutual aid for standby crews is requested: A Stafford pumper to South Byron; and a pumper from Elba to Byron.

A motor-vehicle accident with injuries is reported at 2033 Main Road in Pembroke. East Pembroke and Indian Falls fire deparments are responding along with two Mercy medic units.

UPDATE 10:18 a.m.: A 31-year-old male complaining of back pain is being taken to UMMC. The assignment is back in service.

A motorcycle crash with unknown injuries is reported at 7129 Hopkins Road. Mercy Flight is on ground standby in Batavia; not available to fly except to Strong Memorial Hospital due to wind. Pembroke and Indian Falls fire departments are responding. A first responder says the rider is off the bike, standing up and holding his helmet.

UPDATE 6:18 p.m.: Mercy medics are responding non-emergency mode.

A three-car accident is reported at 3 River St. Injuries are believed to be minor. City fire and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 12:55 p.m.: Northbound traffic will be stopped at River and South Main Street.

A tanker with 500 gallons of anhydrous ammonia tipped over in the area of 6355 Cockram Road and Route 237. It is blocking the roadway. No indication of any spill at this time. It was being hauled by a tractor. Byron and South Byron fire units are on scene. Wind is west, southwest at 11 mph. County hazmat officials are notified.

UPDATE 8:11 a.m.: The county hazmat team is responding.

UPDATE 8:32 a.m.: Byron and South Byron fire police are requested to the scene.

UPDATE 8:45 a.m.: An engine from Clarendon Fire Department is requested to fill in at Byron's station.

The pin that broke, causing the accident. The ammonia was transferred from the tank that tipped over to two others owned by the same farm. The hazmat team was prepared in case there was a leak.

A motor-vehicle accident with minor injuries is reported in front of Town of Batavia Fire Department's Station #1, located at Park and Lewiston roads. Town fire is responding along with Mercy medics.

UPDATE 8:05 p.m.: A second ambulance has been called to the scene. The first medic is transporting a victim to UMMC.

UPDATE 8:08 p.m.: The town's assignment to Lewiston Road is back in service.
