The Hornets beat the Bees 74-56 in Oakfield on Tuesday night behind 17 points for Travis Wiedrich.

Maddie Muehlig needed 17 points to reach 1,000 on her career going into Monday's Lady Lancers' game against Attica.
She scored 21, with her milestone point coming on a three-pointer in the third quarter.
Elba beat Attica 65-43.
Muehlig (#2 in photos) was 6-10 on three-point shots.
Leah Bezon, who joined the 1,000-point club in Elba's previous game, had 15 points.
Next in line for 1,000 points is Brynn Walczak. She scored 17 points.

The Batavia High Lady Devils won their fourth straight game tonight, defeating visiting Greece Odyssey, 63-32, in Monroe County League girls’ basketball action.
It was Batavia’s second victory over Odyssey in a week, with the Lady Devils registering a 69-34 win last Monday at Odyssey.
Senior guards Mackenzie Reigle and Bryn Wormley combined for 42 points as Batavia raised its record to 4-3.
Wormley tallied 10 of her 18 in the first quarter as Batavia jumped out to a 19-11 lead and Reigle scored 12 of her game-high 24 in the second quarter to help the Lady Devils to a 43-16 halftime advantage.
Reigle just missed a triple-double as she came up with 11 steals and nine rebounds (plus seven assists).
Seniors Haylee Thornley and Kennedy Kolb chipped in with seven and six points, respectively, while exhibiting solid defense as Batavia limited Odyssey to 14 made baskets.
Serenity Rodgers scored 13 and Asia Philip had 12 for Odyssey.
The Lady Devils are scheduled to host Pittsford Sutherland at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Oakfield-Alabama beat Wheatfield-Chili on Sunday in girls basketball 36-32.
Scoring: Caitlin Ryan, nine points, Kelsey Schlagenhauf, eight, along with 13 rebounds, Danica Porter, seven, and Brooke Reding, six.

Brynn Walczak notched another double-double and Leah Bezon scored her 1,000th career point Saturday afternoon as the Lady Lancers beat archrival Notre Dame 52-38.
Walczak scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Bezon's 1,000th point came on a free throw in the third quarter. She scored nine points.
Taylor Augello scored 12 points. Maddie Muehlig scored five and grabbed eight rebounds.
For the Lady Irish, Emma Sisson, Maylee Green, and Amelia McCulley each scored eight points and Lindsey Weidman scored seven. McCulley had 14 rebounds.

The Elba Lancer community celebrated their hometown senior Leah Bezon hitting the 1,000 point mark yesterday at Elba High School with a win over visiting Notre Dame 52-38.
All three other Genesee regional girls games had victories yesterday.
Batavia beat Olympia 66-46. Byron-Bergen beat Lyndonville 49-42. Pembroke over Attica 48-38.
The Batavia boys’ Blue Devils squad dominated all four quarters with a win over Greece Olympia in Rochester yesterday afternoon. Batavia jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter, led by Zach Gilebarto and Stone Silverling.
Olympia chipped away at Batavia’s lead, but Blue Devils were up by nine at the half, 33-24. Batavia shined in the third quarter controlling and scoring 13 points midway to a 46-31 lead, ending the quarter with a 51-40 score.
Foul trouble for Olympia in the fourth quarter and a tight defense rallied Batavia to their fifth straight win to remain undefeated with a score 69-56.
Batavia’s top point scorers -- Zach Gilebarto 22, Stone Silverling 18, Luke Rogers 15, and Alex Hale with nine.
Batavia plays at home today versus local rival Notre Dame, tip off at 3:15 p.m.

Bryn Wormley scored 14 of her game-high 35 points in the third quarter this afternoon, sparking the Batavia High Lady Devils to a 66-46 win over visiting Greece Olympia in Monroe County League girls basketball.
The victory was Batavia's second straight this week over Olympia -- both by 20-point margins -- but this one played out much differently as the teams were tied 21-21 at the half. In Wednesday's 55-35 win, Batavia led by 17 at intermission.
Wormley was the difference today as she sank five three-point shots, including three in the decisive third period when Batavia outscored Olympia 26-14 to take a 47-35 lead.
The senior guard drained two three-pointers and added three free throws to give Batavia a 30-23 edge midway through the third quarter. Another trey at the two-minute mark made it 43-31 and Batavia pulled away from there to even its record at 3-3. Olympia falls to 1-3.
Wormley dished out six assists and came up with seven steals while senior Tess Barone tallied 11 points. Senior guard Mackenzie Reigle had seven points, seven assists, seven rebounds and seven steals; and Rachel Wright chipped in with five rebounds.
Batavia went to the foul line 29 times, making 19.
For Olympia, 5-foot-10 senior forward Taylor Jung nearly matched Wormley's effort, scoring 32 points -- including five three-pointers. No other Lady Spartans hit double figures.
The Lady Devils host Greece Odyssey at 7:45 p.m. Monday.
Kaden Cusmano, Gaige Armbrewster, and Travis Wiedrich led Oakfield-Alabama to a 55-43 victory over Wheatland-Chili at home on Friday night.
They scored 17, 16 and 15 points, respectively.
In the only other local boys basketball game on Friday, Elba beat Notre Dame 61-50.
In girls basketball, Dansville beat Le Roy 65-34, and Pavilion beat York 54-46.

Le Roy sustained another close loss Thursday night, dropping a hoops match to Hornell 57-52.
Cody Lytle scored 17 points and had 12 rebounds. Andrew Loftus, 12 points and 10 rebounds, Mitch Hockey 11 points, and Zach Vanderhoof scored 10 and had six rebounds.
The 1-2 Knights play the next five games on the road.
Also in boys basketball, Pavilion beat Mount Morris 47-38.

Elba's Lady Lancers continued their GR League dominance Thursday night beating Oakfield-Alabama 55-30.
Brynn Walczak scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Elba. Taylor Augello scored 15. Leah Bezon scored seven. Dakota Brinkman had eight rebounds.
For the Lady Hornets, Makena Redding scored 17 points and Kelsy Schlgenaugh had four points and snagged 10 rebounds.

Batavia High School made it two straight wins over Greece school district teams this week, defeating host Greece Olympia, 55-35, tonight in Monroe County League girls' basketball.
Senior guards Mackenzie Reigle and Bryn Wormley scored 22 and 15 points, respectively, for the Lady Devils, who on Monday topped Greece Odyssey by a 69-34 score.
Reigle registered a triple-double (points, rebounds and assists) in Monday's game and made her presence felt in all areas again tonight by dishing out six assists, grabbing seven rebounds and recording 12 steals.
Wormley scored eight points in the first quarter as Batavia, 2-3, raced out to a 15-4 lead, and Reigle tallied eight in the second quarter to help the Lady Devils take a 31-14 advantage into the locker room.
The lead ballooned to 45-20 after three periods before Olympia outscored the visitors, 15-10, in the final quarter. Taylor Jung led Olympia, 1-2, with 18 points.
Kennedy Kolb chipped in with six points and Tess Barone had four for Batavia, which is scheduled to host Olympia at 3:15 p.m. this Saturday.
The Knights dropped to 1-1 on the season losing at home Tuesday night to Livonia 58-48.
Mitch Hockey scored 10 points for Le Roy. Cody Lytle scored nine and had seven rebounds. Merritt Holly scored eight points.

Photo: Zack Gilebarto and Stone Silverling combined for 41 points on Tuesday night to lead host Batavia to a 62-51 win over Greece Olympia to raise its record to 4-0.
An emotional Senior Night at Batavia High School started off for Head Coach Buddy Brasky introducing his senior players by player appreciating them for the hard work and dedication.
This despite a season that was going to be empty -- with no stats, records and history for the basketball squad in the nearly 40 years of his coaching career due to the coronavirus pandemic. These boys were excited to play when they found out that the season was a go.
The Devils opened up with a six-point early lead in the first quarter. The Greece Olympia High School Spartans came within two, 11-9 after one quarter.
A seesaw second quarter exchanged buckets by both teams to a 17-17 tie with two minutes left in the half. A big three-point bucket by senior Zack Gilebarto ignited the Devils to a 10-point run to make it 27-17 with 20 seconds left. At the half, Batavia led by seven, 29-22.
In the third quarter, Batavia expanded its lead to 41-25. GO was held to only 6 points in the quarter.
Midway through the fourth GO showed some signs of life with 10 points by Nate Miller and eight points by Darrell Williams, but Batavia held on to win. Gilebarto scored 22 and Stone Siverling 19, while Alex Hale tallied 12 points for Batavia.
Batavia will play Greece Olympia on the road this Saturday at 2:15 p.m.

After failing to find the range in a loss to Notre Dame on Saturday, senior guard Bryn Wormley hit her first three three-point shots tonight and went on to score a game-high 29 points to spark the Batavia High Lady Devils to a 69-34 victory over host Greece Odyssey in Monroe County League girls' basketball action.
It was the first win in four outings for Batavia, which raced to 13-point first-quarter lead and never looked back against Odyssey, 0-2.
Wormley's sharpshooting in the game's first five minutes propelled Batavia to an 11-2 advantage. She then converted a pass from senior guard Mackenzie Reigle to make it 13-2. A basket by Tess Barone, a steal and layup by Reigle, and a 15-footer from the side by Haylee Thornley made it 19-6 after one period.
Batavia blew the game wide open in the second quarter, outscoring the home team 19-2 behind Wormley's 11 points -- all on two-point baskets and foul shots.
Odyssey rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Batavia 19-9 to cut the deficit to 47-27, before the Lady Devils put up a 22-point fourth quarter to win going away.
Reigle filled the stat sheet -- recording a triple-double with 14 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds -- and came up with seven steals, while Barone tallied nine points, and Thornley added eight points. Batavia made nine of its 14 free throw attempts.
For Odyssey, three players -- Sienna Tyo, Janayla Hunter and Asia Philip -- each scored nine points.
Batavia's next game is Wednesday at Greece Olympia.
Sophomore guard Amelia McCulley scored eight straight points in a three-minute stretch late in the fourth quarter this afternoon to lead Notre Dame to a 34-24 nonleague girls’ basketball victory over host Batavia High.
With the score tied at 24 with about 4 ½ minutes remaining, McCulley drove to the hoop for two points, and followed that with a running shot in the lane, another strong drive for two more points and a pair of free throws to put the Lady Irish in front, 32-24.
Two free throws by Emma Sisson closed out the scoring in a contest marked by numerous turnovers and poor shooting from both sides.
McCulley tallied 18 points while Sisson chipped in with nine. Lindsey Weidman added four and Maylee Green sank a three-point shot – the only three-pointer of the game – for ND.
Batavia’s top scorers of Mackenzie Reigle and Bryn Wormley were held to 10 and five points, respectively, while Haylee Thornley had three points and Tianna Rhim, Tess Barone and Rachel Wright scored two points apiece.
The Lady Devils controlled the pace of the game for the first 12 minutes, forging a 12-7 lead, before Notre Dame closed out the second quarter on a 10-1 run. McCulley scored eight in the period.
The teams combined for only 11 points in the third quarter, which ended with the Lady Irish on top, 22-19.
A basket by Sisson made it 24-19 before two free throws by Reigle, Wright’s basket and a free throw by Thornley pulled Batavia into the 24-24 tie.
Notre Dame improves to 2-1 while Batavia is 0-3.
