Angela Joan Bombard, 55, of Main Street, Batavia, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .18 or greater and driving left of pavement markings. Bombard was stopped at 6:49 p.m. Sunday on Route 19, Le Roy, by Deputy Jeremy McClellan.

Justin Allen Siegmyer, 20, of Baxter Street, Buffalo, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, uninspected motor vehicle and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle. Siegmyer was arrested following a check of a vehicle parked roadside on Prole Road, Stafford, at 1:24 a.m. Sunday by Deputy Mathew Clor.

A motor-vehicle accident with ejection is reported in the area of 5631 Clinton Street Road, near Mill Road, in Stafford.

UPDATE(S) (By Billie) 11:22 p.m.: This is a two-vehicle collision with injuries. Extrication is required. The county Highway Department is notified that the roadway is extremely icy. Route 33 at Prole Road will be shut down. Mutual aid is requested from South Byron fire police to shut down Route 33 at Route 237.

UPDATE 11:47 p.m.: This was a head-on collision involving two vans. No one is believed to be seriously injured, although one person was unconscious at the time first responders arrived. A total of four people were involved; three of them were taken to area hospitals, primarily for evaluation. There was an ejection, but no entrapment.The accident occurred about 25 yards northeast of the Thruway overpass on Clinton Street Road (Route 33). The roadway there is described as being like "nothing but a thin sheet of ice."

UPDATE 12:38 a.m.: Stafford assignment back in service.

Daniel John Kearney, 57, of Genesee Street, Pembroke, is charged with second-degree harassment and reckless driving. At 8:25 p.m. on Dec. 23, following an investigation of a road-rage incident, it is alleged that Kearney struck another driver in the face and cut off the other driver while on Pearl Street Road, Batavia. He was arrested and arraigned in Town of Batavia Court and released on his own recognizance. The case was handled by Sheriff's Deputy Kyle Krzemien, assisted by Sgt. Thomas Sanfratello.

Sergio Ivan Santana-Santana, 35, of State Street, Batavia, is charged with: operating a motor vehicle with a BAC over .08 -- a felony; driving while intoxicated, felony; first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation; and unlicensed driver. At 5:32 p.m. on Dec. 24, the Emergency Dispatch Center received a call about subjects fighting in the area of routes 33 and 237 in the Town of Stafford. Investigation at the scene allegedly revealed that the defendant was driving with a revoked license and while intoxicated. He was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and jailed on $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond, with a return court date of Jan. 12. The case was handled by Sheriff's Deputy Cassidy Longhini, assisted by Deputy Kevin McCarthy.

Daniel J. Eastridge, 21, of Hutchins Street, Batavia, is charged with: passing a solid red light; failure to stop at stop sign (two counts); driving the wrong direction on a one-way street; DWI; and aggravated DWI -- BAC of .18 percent or higher. He was also cited for having insufficient tail lamps and failure to use a turn signal. The charges were issued following a traffic stop at 2:21 a.m. on Dec. 24 on Denio Street in Batavia after Eastridge was allegedly observed failing to yield for a steady red signal. He was determined to have been operating the vehicle while allegedly intoxicated. He is due in City Court on Jan. 10. The case was handled by Batavia Police Officer Chad Richards, assisted by Officer Christopher Lindsay.

Judy A. Stiles, 58, of Sheppard Road, Pavilion, is charged with: operating a motor vehicle without headlights; following too closely; DWI; and aggravated DWI -- having a BAC of .18 percent or higher. The charges stem from a motor-vehicle accident that occured at 7:24 p.m. on Dec. 16 on West Main Street in Batavia. It is alleged that Stiles struck another vehicle that was stopped for a red light. During the investigation, it was allegedly determined that Stiles had been operating her vehicle while intoxicated. She was issued an appearance ticket for City Court on Jan. 3. The case was handled by Batavia Police Officer Chad Richards, assisted by Officer Nicole Salamone.

James A. Hough, 43, of Harvester Avenue, Batavia, is charged with: DWI -- with a previous conviction within the last 10 years; refusal to take a breath test; and moving from lane unsafely. At 9:47 p.m. on Dec. 17, Batavia PD was dispatched to Richmond Avenue for a motor-vehicle accident. After investigation, Hough was allegedly found to have been operating the vehicle while intoxicated and he was arrested. He was due back in City Court on Dec. 20. The case was handled by Batavia Police Officer Nicole Salamone, assisted by Officer Mitchell Cowen.

Joseph Tucker, no age provided, of Salem Road, Rochester, was involved in a one-vehicle accident on Route 33 in the Town of Byron at around 11:25 p.m. on Dec. 17. According to the Sheriff's Office statement, the vehicle drvien by Tucker was traveling at an unsafe speed for the icy weather conditions. Tucker lost control of the vehicle and drove off the southeast shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree. Three of the six occupants were transported to Rochester General Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Jamie L. Broadbent, 33, of Thorpe Street, Batavia, is charged with: resisting arrest; petit larceny; fourth-degree criminal mischief; and third-degree criminal tampering. At 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 17, Batavia PD responded to the Dollar General store on East Main Street for the report of a female concealing items. Police confronted Broadbent after she passed the point of sale and at that time she allegedly resisted arrest. She was subsequently taken into custody, arraigned in City Court and jailed on $3,000 bail. She was due back in court on Dec. 19. The case was handled by Batavia Police Officer Arick Perkins, assisted by Sgt. Dan Coffey.

Noel M. Wentworth, 47, of Pringle Avenue, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Wentworth was arrested at 10:01 a.m. on Dec. 5 at Batavia City Centre and issued an appearance ticket. A small quantity of crack cocaine was allegedly found inside Wentworth's wallet. Wentworth is due in City Court on Jan. 10. The case was handled by Batavia Police Officer James DeFreze, assisted by Officer Jason Davis.

James J. Preedom, 32, of Walnut Street, Batavia, is charged with unnecessary noise. He was arrested at 2:22 a.m. on Dec. 21 on Walnut Street following several noise complaints and warnings. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to City Court on Jan. 3. The case was handled by Batavia Police Officer Felicia DeGroot, assisted by Officer Peter Flanagan.

Steve Foster and Tim Adams, owners of the Red Osier restaurant, dedicated the month of November to charity for the local community.

The restaurant has always been closed on Thanksgiving, but this year, they opened for business, with many staff members donating their time to work; all the proceeds from meals served that day were donated to local charities.

During the month, the restaurant also raised $7,965 for Genesee Cancer Assistance. Foster and Adams added their own money to the pot and today turned over a $10,000 check.

Red Osier also donated two truckloads of food to the Le Roy Food Pantry.

Baloo (bah-loo) is missing.

This 2-year-old black lab is not fixed, had no tags at the time he went missing, and had on a camo collar.

He ran from his home in Stafford on Sunday morning and hasn't been seen since.

UPDATE Noon: Baloo has been located and is safe.

Melissa R. Piazza, 27, of Central Avenue, Batavia, is charged with trespass. Piazza was allegedly found going through vehicles on Pearl Street at 1:23 a.m., Dec. 2.

Victor D. Albert, 55, of Clinton Street, Buffalo, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Albert was charged after police were called to Batavia Downs at 1:34 p.m., Sunday, to investigate an incident and Albert was allegedly found in possession of marijuana.

Joshua Micheal Bratcher, 26, of Fargo Road, Bethany, is charged with obstructing governmental administration and unlawful possession of marijuana. Bratcher was arrested after Batavia PD was dispatched to the area of 17 Central Ave. for a report of several people fighting.

Woodrow C. Horseman, 40, of South Main Street, Batavia, was arrested on two warrants. The warrants stem from charges of petit larceny and criminal trespass in two separate incidents. Horseman was jailed on $5,000 bail.

Darrell Smith, 49, of Pearl Street, Batavia, is charged with failure to pay fine. Smith turned himself in on a warrant.

Jacklyn M. Ganzhorn, 29, of Central Avenue, was arrested on a warrant. Ganzhorn was arrested when located on Alva Place for alleged failure to appear in court. Ganzhorn was held on a bail.

Nikki L. Stonebraker, 28, of Liberty Street, Batavia, was arrested on a warrant. 

Joshua A. Porter, 19, of Bank Street, Batavia, is charged with unnecessary noise. Porter is accused of hosting a loud party in his residence, which was reported at 12:06 a.m., Dec. 8.

Cheryl M. Lyons, 51, of Tracy Avenue, Batavia, was arrested on a warrant. Lyons is accused of violating terms of probation. She was arraigned and jailed.

Joey A. Evans, 26, of Hutchins Street, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property, 5th. Evans allegedly possessed property stolen from another individual.

Jaylyn S. Strong, 21, of Holland Avenue, Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, driving a vehicle without stop lamps, aggravated unlicensed operation, 3rd, and unlicensed operator. Strong was stopped at 10:40 p.m., Dec. 1, on East Main Street, Batavia, by Officer Chad Richards.

Robert S. Sodja, 52, of West Main Street, Batavia, is charged with petit larceny. Sodja was arrested on a warrant.

Harry T. Gibson, 52, of West Main Street, was arrested on a warrant. Gibson is charged with petit larceny. Gibson was sentenced in City Court to six months in jail, to run concurrent with a sentence out of Town of Batavia Court.

Bradley R. Jordan, 23, of Colby Road, Darien, is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 3rd. Jordan allegedly entered and started a vehicle that didn't belong to him at 6:55 p.m., Nov. 16, at 4 Treadeasy Ave., Batavia.

Martin F. Jones, 45, of State Street, is charged with petit larceny. Jones allegedly stole a phone from a residence on State Street at 9:30 p.m., Nov. 27.

Andrei Peter Sliker, 25, of Hutchins Street, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, 7th. Sliker was allegedly found in possession of cocaine and buprenorphine during at traffic stop initiated by Deputy Eric Meyer at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 23, 2015 on Route 5 in Stafford.

Amandarae L. Moore, 29, of Route 31, Albion, was arrested on a warrant. Moore is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the Town of Elba.

A one-vehicle rollover accident is reported on Clinton Street Road at Griswold Road, Stafford.

There are reportedly injuries.

UPDATE 9 p.m.: South Byron requested to assist with traffic control, closing traffic in both directions on Route 33.

The first of what may be two arrests in the case of stolen batteries from farm equipment in Genesee County has been made.

Amber L. Heveron, 28, of Rice Road, Albion, is charged with grand larceny, 4th, a Class E felony.

Heveron was arrested following an investigation by Chad Minuto, Bradley Mazur and Joseph Graff, of the Sheriff's Office, into the series of thefts of heavy-duty batteries from tractors and trucks throughout Genesee County between July and September.

Investigators contend that Heveron was not working alone.They anticipate another arrest before the investigation is completed and that Heveron will face additional charges.

Heveron was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and released under supervision of Genesee Justice.

A car vs. pole accident is reported in the area of 6049 Ellicott Street Road, Bethany.

Injuries are reported.

The pole is down, but the wires are still in the air.

Robert C. Kingsbury, 39, of East Main Road, Le Roy, is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, 3rd, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, 3rd. Kingsbury is accused of selling a quantity of oxycodone to an agent of the Local Drug Task Force. He was arrested Thursday by members of the task force with assistance from Le Roy PD. He was arraigned and ordered held without bail.

Jonathan E. Seiger, 55, and Scott H. Spencer, 52, both of West Main Road, Stafford, are charged with one count each of grand larceny, 4th, and identity theft, 2nd. Seiger and Spencer are accused of unlawfully possessing and using a debit card of a friend. The men were also charged with 11 counts of criminal possession of stolen property, 4th, and conspiracy, 5th. Between Aug. 5 and 15, the duo allegedly used the debit card at an ATM machine, along with the friend's PIN identification, to withdraw $1,660. They were jailed on $2,500 each.     

Cassandra Marie Neal, 32, of Lapp Road, Fillmore, is charged with first-degree perjury and filing a false instrument, 1st. Neal was called upon to testify before a grand jury about an alleged domestic incident in Genesee County Park in 2015. Neal allegedly lied about the incident during her testimony. She also allegedly filed a false instrument with the Sheriff's Office. She was arraigned in City Court and released under supervision of Genesee Justice.

Gregory Joseph Rodak, 32, of Winterroth Street, Rochester, is charged with felony DWI and felony driving with a BAC of .08 or greater and driving left of pavement markings. Rodak was reportedly involved in a two-car accident at 8:11 p.m. Thursday on Townline Road, Bergen. Deputy Kevin Forsyth reports he detected the odor of alcohol and that Rodak admitted to drinking earlier. Rodak submitted to a field sobriety test. He has a prior conviction for DWI within the past 10 years, leading to the felony charges.

A car has reportedly hit a tree or a pole in the area of Caswell Road and Clinton Street Road, Stafford.

There may be injuries.

Eric Jon Merritt, 27, of Rose Road, Batavia, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 or greater, speeding and operating out of class. Merritt was allegedly exceeding the posted speed limit of 55 mph on Route 5 in Batavia at 2:40 a.m. Sunday while operating a motorcycle on a learner's permit when he was stopped by Deputy Ryan Young.

Dashawn Devan Hazel, 22, of Saint Mary Street, Bronx, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Hazel was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop.

Treshaun David Perry, 21, of Lewis Place, Batavia, is charged with driving while impaired by drugs and speeding. Perry was stopped on Prole Road, Stafford, at 3:29 p.m. Saturday by Deputy Ryan DeLong.

The Red Osier has a goal to become as community-orientated as its owners, Steven Foster and Tim Adam. Together with their staff, they have decided to rename November "Lovember" with a month of promotions to give back to the local community.

In November, bring in a bag of nonperishable goods or new clothing and you will receive a $10 gift voucher toward your next dinner visit. All food will be donated to the Le Roy Food Pantry, while the clothing will be donated to the local homeless community.

Bring in a package of new undergarments and socks during November, receive a complementary chef dessert. All items will be donated to restaurant employee Wendy Cappoli-Frongetta's grassroots organization "Spirits and Skivvies" that donates underwear and garments to local less fortunate throughout the community. Her goal is to restore dignity and comfort to the fellow human one pair of underwear at a time. There is an auction of donated items this Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Byron Fire Hall where all proceeds will support "Spirits and Skivvies."

On Thanksgiving, the restaurant will be open 12 to 5 p.m. This is the first year in the history of the restaurant that it has been open on this holiday. All -- 100 percent -- of the sales proceeds from the day will be split between Genesee Cancer Assistance and The Stafford Monument Committee, which is erecting a monument at the Stafford Four Corners to honor the past and present military personnel from Stafford. Throughout the month, we will have our annual buy a $50 gift certificate and receive a complementary $20 gift certificate as well.

It is extremely important to get our local businesses and their staffs involved in the holiday spirit. If we can make a small difference one can of vegetables or a package of underwear at a time, that's what we will do. We hope that our spirit of "Lovember" will resonate to other businesses within our area.

Jeffrey William Scott, 33, of Market Street, Leicester, is charged with: driving while ability impaired by drugs; operating a  motor vehicle while registration is suspended; operating motor vehicle without insurance; unsafe tires; and failure to keep right. Scott was originally involved in a one-vehicle accident on Fargo Road in the Town of Stafford on June 2. As a result, he was flown by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. On Oct. 26, he turned himself in at the Genesee County Sheriff's Office and was arrested on the charges. Scott was released on appearance tickets for Stafford Town Court on Nov. 17. The case was handled by Genesee County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Forsyth, assisted by Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Saile.

Cynthia May Mack, 49, of Pearl Street Road, Batavia, is charged with harassment and false personation. Following the investigation into a domestic incident at 10:07 a.m. on Oct. 21 on East Main Road, Le Roy, Mack was arrested after allegedly punching an individual in the face while in presence of law enforcment, and she allegedly provided them with a false name. She was put in jail and is due in Le Roy Town Court on Oct. 27. The case was handled by Genesee County Sheriff's Deputy Rachel Diehl.

Danielle Marie Stewart, 18, of East Main Road, Stafford, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Following the investigation at 12:23 a.m. on Oct. 25 into a suspicious condition in a parking lot on Main Road in the Town of Stafford, Stewart was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Town of Stafford Court on Nov. 15. The case was handled by Genesee County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Meyer.

A dispatcher said a caller reported seeing 'two subjects in clown costumes' about 10 minutes ago on the overpass bridge on Route 33 near Horseshoe Lake Road.

They were on the north side of the bridge.

Law enforcement is responding.

UPDATE 5:41 a.m.: An officer states he's in the area, then asks the dispatcher "Did the clowns do anything or were they just there?" The reply is that the clowns were sitting on the railing, then began walking in separate directions. ... Only one call (on this 'issue')."

UPDATE 5:54 a.m.: Law enforcement is clearing the scene; no clowns found.
