A motorcyclist is reportedly down and unconscious, but breathing, in the roadway at East Main and Clinton streets -- by the Rite-Aid. Police and Mercy medics are responding along with city fire. Traffic control will be needed.

At around 4:45 p.m., dispatchers received a report of a 3-year-old who had gone missing in the area of Pekin Road, Elba.

Law enforcement along with volunteer firefighters responded and initiated a search.

The child was located at about 5:15 p.m. and did not require medical attention.

All units going back in service.

UPDATE 5:41 p.m. (by Billie): I think the initial call came into dispatch around 4:15  p.m. The tot, clad in jeans and an orange T-shirt, was said to have left the house and could not be located. The caller was the child's older brother. The parents were both home but aren't fluent in English. Law enforcement asked that they scour the house once more to double-check for the child but that turned up nothing. The child was later heard yelling in the woods by officers.

City Slickers crowned Batavia's Chris Laird (bottom photo) the 2012 Hot Dog Cup champion after he beat out runner-up James Soccio (above), and the other contestants in the last seconds of the contest. Laird was able to down eight and a half of Nathan's brand hot dogs in the 10 minutes alotted.

Soccio, who was a close second, downed eight hot dogs. The annual cup was part of the WNY Round-Up Rally that took place all weekend. Contestants had to eat the dog and bun for it to count and were given a cup of water to dunk the bun if they chose. 

A car vs. pedestrian accident is reported at Ellicott and West Main Street. City police are on scene. Mercy EMS and city fire are responding. The pedestrian has a leg injury.

UPDATE 2:29 p.m.: The victim is a 32-year-old male who has a left leg injury and is being transported to UMMC. City fire is back in service.

The following people were arrested by members of the Sheriff's Office in connection with the Brad Paisley Virtual Reality Concert at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on Saturday.

The 10 arrests are down from the 14 at last year's show. After the 2011 concert, Paisley posted on Twitter: "Quite a performance in Darien Lakes Saturday. We also played music." (followed by a link to The Batavian's story on arrests at the show)

There were 56 underage drinking citations last year and 81 this year. The increase can be attributed, at least in part, to increased enforcement at the park in 2012.

All but one of the arrests last year might be attributed to drunken misbehavior. This year, only, maybe, five of the 10 arrests might fit that description.

Benjamin B. Cramer, 27 of Route 20, Varysburg, is charged with public lewdness and resisting arrest after allegedly urinating in the concert venue and then resisting arrest. Cramer was arraigned in Darien Town Court and remanded to jail in lieu of $500 bail.

Jessica L. Juda, 22, of Pleasant Valley Road, Delevan, is charged with trespass after allegedly reentering the concert venue after being ejected and told not to return. Juda was arraigned in Darien Town Court and remanded to jail in lieu of $100 bail.

Daniel R. Blonski, 22, of Salem Avenue, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is charged with trespass after allegedly reentering the concert venue after being ejected and told not to return. Blonski was arraigned in Darien Town Court and remanded to jail in lieu of $100 bail.

Kelsey M. Shea, 19, of Towhee Court, East Amherst, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol under age 21.

Tanner C. Boesch, 19 of Turkill Road, Fairport, is charged with inlawful possession of marijuana after allegedly being found in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

Kathryn A. Tuscano, 20, of Main Avenue, Norwalk, Conn., is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after allegedly being found in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

Beer pong was the name of the game at the Polish Falcons clubhouse on Saturday as a couple of dozen people joined in a competition as part of a fundraiser for WNY Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

A group of Graham employees are trying to raise more than $20,000 for the charity and to finance their participation in a charity marathon in San Francisco in October.

Saturday's event also included a 50/50 raffle and a chance auction.

According to the group's fundraising page, the effort is halfway to its goal.

The team: Arlene Hall, Ashley Lashure, Elaine Harding, Nina Stevens, Andrew Haupt and Brian Ellingham.

Yesterday, Batavia played host to the 2012 ATV Extreme Dirt Track National Championship Series at the Batavia Motor Speedway on Harloff Road.

Hundreds of racers, including some of the top pros in the country, from all over the nation to participate in the event. (For more about the series, click here.)

A week ago or so I drove past this group of red barns on Route 98 in Alexander and noticed this attractive group of yellow flowers and thought it might make a nice picture, but the sun was bright and harsh at the time. Returning to Batavia from Alexander this afternoon, the light seemed better and the homeowner was home so I could get permission to move in for a closer shot.

The Town of Alexander celebrated its bicentennial today at the town hall in the village.

As WBTA reported this week, not too much is known about Alexander Rea, the man who founded the town.

Hundreds of bikers converged on Downtown Batavia today for the 2nd Annual WNY Round Up Rally.

At one point, just about the entire length of the south side of Main Street was lined with parked Harleys (mostly), Triumphs, Ducatis and Suzukis.

The bars and restaurants were full and of course there were vendors to visit and live music in Jackson Square.

The rally continues on Sunday.

A subject may have a broken nose following a fight on North Main Street, near Chapel Street, in the Village of Elba.

An ambulance is being requested to the scene.

A witness notified dispatchers of a fight less than five minutes ago and a deputy responded.

The suspect, described as a 25-year-old Mexican, is wearing black shorts and shirt and flip-flops, and is believed to be on foot in the area.

UPDATE 11:39 p.m.: The suspect lost a flip-flop. A deputy found it. The suspect may be heading south on Route 98 on foot.

UPDATE 11:40 p.m.: Suspect may actually have left in a red Mazda.

UPDATE 11:42 p.m.: The ambulance is responding to the area of 42 Chapel St., the apparent location of the victim.

UPDATE 11:45 p.m.: There are apparently multiple suspects.  A couple are with deputies now.

UPDATE 12:21 a.m.: The flip-flop wearing suspect, who is now completely flip-flopless, seems to be in custody. Also, I heard something earlier about a knife being recovered, and it sounded like a deputy involved in this call, but not certain.

A person is reportedly pestering people in Austin Park, Batavia. The subject is wearing all-white clothing and has a teardrop tattoo under an eye. Police are responding.

An extremely intoxicated male who was found "unable to ambulate" beneath the East Main Street railroad overpass in Batavia is going to be transported to UMMC for evaluation. Law enforcement and medics are responding.

UPDATE 6:39 p.m.: Mercy EMS is cancelled. The man is up and moving about and will be taken to the Sunset Motel instead.

A three-car accident with injuries is reported at 7153 Alleghany Road in Alabama. It's near Bloomingdale Road. Alabama Fire Department, Mercy medics and law enforcement is responding.

UPDATE 6:34 p.m.: The extrication jaws will need to be employed.

UPDATE 6:37 p.m.: A second ambulance is requested, mutual aid, from Oakfield.

UPDATE 7:03 p.m.: Mercy is transporting two patients to Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo.

UPDATE 7:16 p.m.: A 17-year-old boy is being taken to UMMC for evaluation due to his age. He has no complaints of pain. He also has no local relatives.

UPDATE 7:28 p.m.: Alabama is back in service.

A Genesee County Sheriff's deputy is out by the Bergen exit on westbound 490 with a school bus from Monroe County. The bus was pulled over because its occupants were reportedly throwing beer cans out the windows.

"Occupied by a lot. Checking IDs," says the deputy, who asks for a State Trooper to assist at the scene, which is the parking lot of the Sugar Creek store.

A mother called dispatch to complain that her pregnant daughter's boyfriend allegedly took her daughter's pack of cigarettes, which she had purchased for her, and has since left the Le Roy residence. She'd like some justice.

In 2011, 7-Eleven, Inc., acquired the Buffalo-based Wilson Farms chain and according to an industry report, the company that pioneered the convenience store concept decided to sell three of newly purchased locations in Genesee County.

According to CSPnet.com, 7-Eleven will sell two locations in Batavia and one Le Roy.

The Batavia locations would appear to be the stores at corner of Ellicott and Cedar streets and at 189 Pearl St.

A month or so ago, 7-Eleven converted the Wilson Farm at 505 E. Main St., Batavia, to its own branded store.

It appears 7-Eleven is unloading the locations that sell gas.

"In any acquisition of an entire chain, there will inevitably be some stores that don't fit with a buyer's long-term strategic plans," said Robbie Radant, 7-Eleven vice president of mergers and acquisitions. "Such is the case with these 30 properties. While not right for our current operations, we believe they will provide great opportunities for the right buyers, as they did for Wilson Farms over the years."

The WNY Round Up Rally got off to a soggy start, but it is under way.

By tomorrow, thousands of bikers with bright, shiny Harleys and Triumphs, and maybe an Indian or two, are expected to fill the streets of Downtown Batavia.

There's only a 30-percent chance of rain, so perhaps we'll have a nice weekend for the round up.

At least it should be clear enough at times for all of us to make our way to Main and Jackson.

A minor-injury accident involving a car and pedestrian is reported in front of the Hillside Children's Center at 50 Main St., which is in the Centre City building. City firefighters and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 1:34 p.m.: The 45-year-old bicyclist is complaining of pain in his ribs and an injury to a finger which was already broken. He is being transported to UMMC.
