Dog stifling in black sedan at Walmart

By Billie Owens

A dog is reportedly locked in a black four-door sedan -- "with minimal air" -- in the parking lot of Walmart, near the food entrance. At 6 p.m., the temperature was 88, according to dispatch. Law enforcement is responding.

I don't know if this is in any way related, but I saw a dog walking into the Laughing 420 Bubba Emporium and there were two people sitting in the car. Fire and EMS are responding.

Scott, you really need to learn what punctuation is for and to use bigger words to spice up your thoughts. Words like Shih-tzu, phuket, balzac, jaculate, Uranus, Bankok and coxsackie.

WTF is wrong with people. Leave your animals home. You think they enjoy sitting in a vehicle with minimal air that's a 1,000 degrees. Yeah it maybe 88 degrees outside but in the vehicle it's a hell of alot hotter. How about you sit with them. I bet things would be different. The only way this is going to stop is if something is done to these people. Even 10 min running into a store in this hot weather is not good for an animal. Wake up people. This is the 2nd one yesterday. And i am sure there are many more idiots out there. Authorities need to do something.

Maybe some alcohol abuser will come by and shoot the windows out of the car so the dog can escape, only to be run over by another vehicle because the dog attempted to escape the drunk!
This behavior really pisses me off, therefore, I believe those guilty of this act should be placed in their
car, in a hot parking lot, in 85+ heat, for at least 2 hours under the same conditions they left their dog.

I take my dog with me everywhere -unless- I know I'm going to have to leave him in the car for more than five minutes. This isn't effing rocket science, folks.

Why would you feed, train and care for an animal then leave him/her in a situation where they could die because you were too lazy to bring extra water and leave a window open?
