Golf cart rollover accident with injuries

A golf-cart rollover accident with shoulder injuries is reported at Davis Countryside Meadow golf course in Pavilion, Hole 13.

The golf course is located at 11070 Perry Road, between York and Dillon roads. Pavilion Fire Department and Mercy EMS are responding.

I love Davis's, i can be found there just about every weekend, and i know hole 13 all to well, there is a big hill that goes down to the green. Its a pretty steep hill, but if you are careful and paying attention to what your doing a "roll over" should not happen. Although it makes you wonder if maybe the grass was a little wet from last nights rain which could make for some slippery cart riding.

I briefly worked with a guy, some years back, that was partially paralyzed from his broken neck when the golf cart he was driving flipped. So as humorous as it sounds the result can be life changing. This guy who was hurt told everyone that it was a car accident and I have to admit I did snicker a little when I heard it was a golf cart.

Okay, if we are gonna be so serious about it then I propose a special license, roll over bars with crash safety modifications for all golf carts and a mandatory helmet for anyone driving it or any passengers. This would create a lot of revenue for NYS and it might convince golfers to actually walk when they play a few rounds.
