Happy Easter

By Bea McManis

Can it be Easter already?  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.

I'll be going away for the weekend.  I'm really looking forward to spending some time just relaxing.  Relaxing comes with a price.  The "to do" list seems to grow as the departure time nears.

Since this is a road trip, it means a trip to the grocery store for the picnic lunch I plan to pack.  A meatless picnic is a challenge.  Thinking seafood salad sandwiches.

Dig out spring clothes and get laundry finished.

Pack a bag - not a lot, it's only a weekend.

Hair cut on Friday morning

Bring the book I'm trying to finish, "Out Stealing Horses".

Remember to take the phone that has Navigator so I don't get lost.  I can get to the hotel okay, it is the trip from the hotel to my destination on Saturday that is always dicey.  Even worse is the trip from there back home.  Almost a hour on back roads before getting back on Route 5 and familiar surrounds.

Straighten out the house before i leave.

Bring camera.  This is a sporting event, so there should be good action shots.

Somewhere in this coming weekend there will be time to relax.  I'm looking forward to that.  Stretch out and finish that book.  Take the time to enjoy the wonderful scenery that our New York has to offer.

Maybe little vegi wraps, with some kind of dressing on them. Fruit salad(the easy way) 1 large can of manderin oranges in lite syrup, add bananas, strawberrys, really any fruit you like, and mix it up. Yummy & Easy Maybe some homemade Guacamole(the easy way) Avacado and mild salsa, mix it up & BAM/ with the Blue Corn Chips. I plan on catching some Rainbow Trout this weekend. Ill have to be creative in cooking them up too. Enjoy Your Weekend Lady!!

Decided on somthing simple, like egg and olive sandwiches; fruit cups; and chips. I just ran out of time.
Packing some pepperoni, crackers, etc. for nibbling on Sat.
Good grief, I realized tonight that I didn't make the hotel reservation. Just did that a few minutes ago.
You enjoy your weekend too. Fishing sounds so relaxing right now.

Karen, I hope you had good luck fishing.
The weekend, that was suppose to take me away from stress, turned into a very stressful Friday night and all day today.
A friend, who once told me, "lying is what I do", certainly outdid the norm over the weekend. Unfortunately, a very innocent third party was hurt in the process.

Morning Bea!! He Has Risen!! Thank You Jesus..
The fishing was slow. We put the small boat in Hemlock Lake, as Naples Creek was elbow to elbow . It was Just Beautiful, but a little Hot in the afternoon. After fishing, we took our "HUGE" Ash log, to be cut for flooring in our new home. The grain patterns are amazing. We sticker-stacked it, and it is drying. Mike gave me lessons on chainsawing. We are loosing our Ash trees to some kind of blight, so we have also been busy planting more trees to replace them.
Its been a Glorious Weekend, and we all have "SO MUCH" to be thankful for. Pray for Wisdom, and Strength Bea. Sieze The Day My Dear!! God Bless, and Happy Easter Everyone

Same to you, Karen.
Been busy today and just got back on. Your floor sounds wonderful (or at least the logs).
It was hot on Saturday too, but the building I was in was brutally cold. I don't think it got to 70 all day long. I had to keep stepping out into the sun to get warm.
That, and the unneeded drama, really put a damper on the weekend.
However, one bright spot was a delicious shrimp dinner I had Friday night. Too bad my stomach was in knots and I really couldn't enjoy the meal the way it should have been enjoyed.
lol, so on the hottest day in record, there I was in a long sleeve jacket trying to stay warm. go figure!

Pray for Wisdom, and Strength Bea. Sieze The Day My Dear!!

Wisdom and strength are in low supply these days. This damn saga just doesn't go away. I learned more this morning that just adds to the needless drama of the weekend.
I can't help but wonder if this person, while sitting in church on Sunday, reflected on the troubles that were caused.
Somehow I doubt it.
The problem with people who make it up, as they go along, lose sight of the truth and wouldn't recognize it if it bit them.
Sadly, this person's lies become self evident truths as soon as they are uttered.
We all need that wisdom and strength to sift through the garbage and decide what is true.
Thanks, Karen, I needed that advice.
