Dan - I normally don't make a lot of comments on here, but what you wrote about the Halloween Parade got me going. Maybe before you make comments on things, you need to do some research. ALong with myself and a lot of other people a lot of work was put into the parade that was held in 2009. YES, there was a Halloween Parade held in 2009. There has been a parade for the past 17 years. The event has been co-sponsored by the Batavia Area Jaycees and the Youth Bureau since the beginning. Last year and this year, O'liver's Candies has also stepped up and became a sponsor. In 2009, Sam was unable to be a sponsor and GCASA stepped up to be the end location and help sponsor the event and help the Jaycees provide snacks after the event. The main goal of the event is not to just have Free Pizza.

what did i do wrong?I said hope there's a parade again.I should have explained it better.Ok Pontillo's gave away free pizza out of the generosity and out of their pockets. Its nice GCASA stepped up with who's money?GCASA the word makes me cringe. In my opinion and i have a very strong one about GCASA.Rehab should be for those who want help.Cause you can not stop the people from doing what they want to even if its not good for them.So the people who lie their way through ruin it for those who want help.Ive been there. What a waste of money. How much is rehab now? Ever hear the commercial on wbta?Your having a party with yer kids and tip line your in jail. That irks me.How many have kids partying with them? My boys have gone to the parade since they were what 2 and 3.Until last year.We didn't even know there was one.I myself dressed up too.And i never went just to get free pizza. It was a tradition.I never said we only went to go get pizza.Did i? I saw the happy children walking to Pontillo's it was fun.I have many images of the parade. There was no need to attack myself and my boys by saying"The main goal of the event is not to just have Free Pizza. " http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=457...

Dan- you totally missed the point. You stated: "Maybe thre will be a halloween parade again" my point was there has been a parade for the past 17 years. There was one in 2009. Just because Pontillo's was closed doesnt mean there wasnt one. I organized most of it. I even had meetings with Sam in LeRoy about it. It was just not feasable for him at that time to help with it, and other details were worked out. Who knows what 2010 will bring, but the fact is, you asked if there would be a parade again....well, the parade never went away! It was even advertisted here on the batavian and was well attended as always.
