Ralph Nader unrepentant for suggesting Obama could be an 'Uncle Tom'

By Howard B. Owens

Ralph Nader was, at one time, one of the most respected people in America. In an interview with a Houston radio station, Nader said Barack Obama will have a choice on whether to be an "Uncle Sam or be an Uncle Tom."

Fox News gave Nader a chance to take it back, and when asked if he regretted saying it, he said, "Not at all."

Nader appears completely clueless as to how offensive the term is.

I'm with Nader on this
He (Obama) never mentions the poor
NOBODY mentions the poor

It's harsh (asking whether HE WILL BE an Uncle Tome or Will he fight for the people that -possibly- elected him
the people he courted with his preacher-like tone and stand
but it gets to the heart quick

He's not calling him an uncle tom
He's calling him out/questioning him/us/reminding us all of what we're -likely- doing to the country
There is no time like the present to ask questions of your leaders
There is no grace period because a black guy finally "made it"
THAT IS OFFENSIVE IN ITS OWN RIGHT
It's not a "positive moment" for blacks
It's a "positive" for the whites that have "come this far to allow a black man finally"
It's an "ABOUT F*c*ng Time" for black people

What is a black man that votes for another black man for no other real reason than for the fact that since he's black he is inclined to help out other (poor) blacks
..the ones he speaks for and yet doesn't
Isn't that also the -possible- selling out of your people? Selling out of your vote

Perfectly relevant given Obamas.. what..90%+ gain of black vote
Very "harsh" ..but only since it comes from a white guy, lets be honest

As for the interview itself
As soon as dude paused for like 3 seconds in the beginning he had belabored the point
I said belabored right then
"i don't want to belabor this point"
lol

What about how offensive the term "SPOILER" is?
Where is the talk of this?
Spoiler? That's offensive to the core ideals of this COUNTRY
You really have to be a fake little a-hole to speak of Nader being a "spoiler"
"well, theres his time"
middle-schoolish. I'd fire that prick if weren't for the fact that "I've" made the show exactly what it is

"its offensive on any day ..but REALLLLLY offensive on this day
How is that? Like murder is somehow 3x worse on Christmas Eve

Once respected
Not to be taken seriously

These fools are the ones not to be taken seriously
Problem is that our system wants us to accept these types of people as serious
