Civil Air Patrol On Drill

By Robin Walters

As I pulled into the parking lot at Northgate this evening, I saw this group of young men and women. I questioned as to who they were.

I was told it was the Teen division of the Civil Air Patrol which is part of the Air Force Auxilary. What an awesome program for young men and women! They told me they get together at the South Campus of Northgate every Thursday evening.

Thanks Howard. It is just amazing, what one will see when we are out and about.

Amazing group of young men and women! If someone has more information on the group, please tell us about them.

The CAP Batavia Composite Squadron meets every Thursday from 6:30-8:30 at Northgate's South Campus location. Youth may join when they are 12 years old. You can get more info at their website:

My son is the second from the right in the rear group.

It is a terrific program. I would encourage anyone to drop by and check them out!

Kudos top CAP, they turn out some fine young people. My daughters friend is also in the picture and she is one of those teenagers (along with my daughter of course) who restore confidence in our future.
