For those who didn't follow the discussion, this building was much discussed in this post.

I remember the building as a great gathering place while thawing out your frozen ice skate covered toes.The earlier years the whole front section was flooded and used for skating.It seens years later they cut it down to half as I remember. I can still hear rum rum Fran skating by in a whizz, I think he still lives a stones throw from the cite that now is John Kennedys front lawn. Those were the days:)

What was the building on Vine St.used for in the past? If it was discussed, I missed it. Just curious. I drive by it often and have always wondered.
