Orleans Cornell Cooperative Extension is offering hands-on food preservation trainings this season. Whether people have never canned before or have been canning for years, these workshops will provide up-to-date, research-based methods for preserving food safely.  Participants will be involved in every step of the food preservation process and will leave with “how to” knowledge, recipes, a jar of food, and the confidence to preserve at home.

Each workshop costs $10.00 per participant.  Call the office to register.  Space is limited.

Learn to dry, can, and freeze apples.  From fruit leather to applesauce to pie filling, you will gain the skills needed to preserve apples and enjoy them year-round.
