Corwin's campaign announces robo call by Florida senator

posted by Howard B. Owens in NY-26, Jane Corwin.

Press release:

WILLIAMSVILLE – Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), a leading force in the national debate to cut spending and reduce taxes, endorsed Jane Corwin for Congress today. Senator Rubio also called 60,000 homes across Western New York to ask that they support Jane Corwin in the May 24th Special Election for New York’s 26th Congressional District.

“Marco Rubio is leading the fight in Washington to cut spending, reduce taxes, and create private sector jobs in our communities,” Corwin said. “Senator Rubio and I understand that our country is at a crossroads, and I appreciate him talking to Western New York voters to discuss our shared goal to improve the fiscal situation for current and future generations.”

Script of the Call:

This is Senator Marco Rubio with a short but important message. DC needs strong conservatives like Jane Corwin. We have changed the debate, we are moving in the right direction but we are in the middle of the fight. Jane Corwin will be a voice we need to keep that momentum up. Join me in supporting Jane and please go vote this coming Tuesday, May 24th in the Special Election. It is CRITICAL. Thank you so much for your time.

Perhaps Senator Rubio could find out where Corwin's Chief of Staff is.

Corwin's chief-of-staff Michael Mallia is currently sunning himself in an undisclosed Florida location sipping mojetos with Allen West and Marco Rubio....

I hate robo calls. What a waste of time and money. Does ANYONE really ever LISTEN when they answer a call, and it's not a live person ? Want to lose my vote ? Give me a robo call.

Mr. Rubio and Mr. West need to worry about what's good for Florida, and we'll take care of Western NY

Since Florida gave us G W Bush, I haven't purchased any citrus grown in that state. ...Not much of a sacrifice, Florida oranges pretty-much suck anyway. The notion of some Florida senator advising me to vote for a tool like Corwin... What does one make of that? Corwin's handlers had to beat the bushes all the way to Florida to find anyone willing to go on-record for Jane!

Robo-calls, they always advocate for the absolute worst candidate. Which makes sense, the worst candidates have much in common with a robo-call: self-righteous, one-sided, rude, oblivious to constituents. So (in an odd way) robo-calls may be a good thing. If the worst candidates rely on the most aggravating campaign practice, voters can readily identify who NOT to vote for.

"Since Florida gave us G W Bush" do you mean Geb Wanker? Or did you mean Texass?

I'm getting 4 calls a day from Jane Corwin supporters. At what point can it be considered harrassment?

4 calls a day is no surprise coming from Jane corwin's campaign given that the Talking Phone Book and its leagcy the Leading Edge are primarily telemarketing operations to peddle advertising that goes in the directory....today it's sell the candidate day with robo calls that are impervious to the responses....

Jason- a recount would have been acceptable. If you recall- the Supreme (Republican)Court made the decision to suppress a recount- overruling Florida State Election Law pertaining to a close election.

Maybe she can get Ex Gov. Arnold S. to make a Robo call for her ?? He can make a call to "Pump you up" to cast your vote for her and he can then tell you "I'll be back" to tell you the same thing in a couple of days!!!!
