Crews were on South Jackson Street all day today laying down new asphalt over the recently milled road bedding.
It's one of a handful of streets in the city getting repaved this week.

This is stupid, S. Jackson st was fairly smooth and in decent shape. It would have made more sense to start by re-paving Summit st, probably the worst street in batavia, and the most traveled street by ambulances and ems vehicles. Then we could stop wasting the citys money to change ball joints and what not on the emergency vehicles that use that street EVERYDAY ALLDAY!!!!!!!!

Why Summit St - especially the end near St. Joseph's church isn't on the project list for this summer boggles my mind.
