I hope people realize that raising the minimum wage will not increase their buying power. Someone has to pay for the increased minimum wage and it will be us through higher prices for goods and services. So their goes your increased wage. Of course the Silver and people like him do not care. Their only concern is getting reelected.
Unless my wages are also increased at the same percentage , this only puts me closer to the poverty level . Everytime we raise minimum wages , inflation will be next , thus trumping any and all extra money you may make . Now if your wages(that are above minimum) don't change along with inflation and the increase of minimum wage , then actuly many more people will be with less money.
