Age 88, of Batavia, died peacefully Monday afternoon November 30, 2015 at the New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia. He was born in Bradenton, FL on January 27, 1927, to the late Arthur and Inez (Chamberlain) Greene, also preceded in death by brothers, Larry and Vernon.
Mr. Greene was a United States Army Veteran and worked for many years for Conrail as an engineer. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed winters in Las Vegas with his late wife and time spent with his family.
Surviving are his loving children, Jane (late Dennis) Glor, Joyce (Ken) Grazioplene and Edwin R. "Buddy" Green, Jr. all of Oakfield; 4 grandchildren, Randy (Megan) Glor, David Glor, Michael (Shannon) Grazioplene & Jeffrey (Andrea) Grazioplene; 8 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Carson, Cady & Haylee Glor, Taylor, Zackary, Cole & Elizabeth Grazioplene along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present from 10-11am Friday December 4 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 WEST MAIN STREET ROAD BATAVIA, NEW YORK 14020 where a Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest aside his wife in Cary Cemetery and memorials can be to the Oakfield Historical Society PO Box 74 Oakfield, NY 14125 or the Down Syndrome Support Group of Genesee County, Inc. 2121 Lewiston Road Oakfield, NY 14125.
