Arthur E. "Jack" Bigelow

Arthur E. “Jack” Bigelow, 88, of Attica passed away on Monday November 30, 2015 at the LeRoy Village Green.  Jack was born on October 31, 1927 in Warsaw to the late Alfred and Mildred (Denvi) Bigelow.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by sons Terrance and Randy Bigelow and sisters Eleanor Snyder and Norma Freas.

Jack served with the United States Army and the Merchant Marines during WWII, then worked and retired from the Lehigh Valley Railroad. He loved to play the guitar and sing old time country songs and had a special love for animals.

He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Bigelow of Attica; children Mary (Peyton) Herman , Crystal (Tommy) Hyde both of Alabama, Tressa (Mike) Riggi of Batavia and Jackie (Chuck Miller) Bigelow of Batavia; sister Edna Bissell of Wyoming, NY; 5 step sisters, many grandchildren and great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday December 6, 2015 from 12:00 - 4:00pm at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011.  A 10:00am Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 7th at the funeral home.  He will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica.
