Mary R. Zimarino, 85, of Batavia passed away Friday December 4, 2015 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1930 in Italy Hills Penn Yan, New York to the late Angelo (Mildred I. Dixon) Zimarino.

Mary was a graduate of Batavia High School and was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital in Batavia for 35 years before retirement. She was also a member of St. Anthony’s Church. Mary enjoyed bowling and dancing in her early years and then bingo. She loved spending time with her lifelong friends and you could never see her not smiling and laughing. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her two brothers Philip L. Zimarino of Plymouth, NC, Thomas F. (Victoria) Zimarino of Bradenton, Fl and sister Roseann (Zimarino) Goebert of Batavia along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday December 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. An 8 PM Prayer Service will follow calling hours at the Funeral Home.
