Randy L. Boyce, Sr.

Byron - Randy L. Boyce, Sr., 58, of Byron, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia.

Randy was born April 16, 1957 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, a son of the late John Patchen and Mary Freeman Boyce.

A member of the Four Seasons Sportsman's Club in Elba, Randy loved spending time on his property on Pt. Peninsula, NY. He loved to fish, boat and hunt. A lover of animals, Randy will also be missed by his four legged companions, Frisco, Rascal and Sissy.

Randy lived life on his terms and lived each day to its' fullest. He will be remembered as the life of the party who loved telling jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen L. Coveny Boyce, whom  he married May 16, 2009; his children, Randy L. (Jennifer) Boyce, Jr. of Alden and Joy Lynn Boyce of North Chili; four grandchildren, Mason Boyce, Perry Bethune, Jr., Dominic and Jonathon Bethune; brothers and sisters, Bill (Kay) Boyce of Massachusetts,  Carol (John) Dixon of Bradford, Pennsylvania, Peggy (Ronald) Porter of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Kenneth (Pat) Boyce of Massachusetts, Robert (Margie) Boyce of Massachusetts, Marylou (Greg) Taylor of Byron and Rod (Bonnie) Boyce of Clearfield, Pennsylvania; three brothers-in-law, Douglas (Kathy) Coveny of Byron, Charles Coveny of Byron, and  Thomas (Marcey Crandall) Coveny of Batavia; his mother-in-law, Dorie Bater of Cape Vincent along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Randy is predeceased by his brothers, Donald and David Boyce and his nephew Carl Gilt, Jr.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Randy's name to the Byron Rescue Squad, P.O.
