Elizabeth J. Dylag, 93 of Orleans, MA and formerly of Akron, NY, passed away Monday (December 14, 2015) at Cape Cod Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Buffalo, NY on September 2, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Katherine Lacz Rzeznik.

Elizabeth was a waitress for the Park Country Club prior to her retirement. Her family and friends were very dear to her and it showed very much in the hospitality which she showed. Elizabeth was a longtime parishioner of St. Teresa’s R.C. Church in Akron. Along with her late husband, they were foster parents to over 35 children.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Dylag; son, Joseph Dylag and siblings, Mary Liszka, Laura Zajac, Catherine Bonnin, Joseph Rzeznik, Irene Piechota, Robert Rzeznik and Florence Moskal.

Survivors include her children, Kathleen Dylag of Orleans, MA, James (Darlene) Dylag of Corfu and Judith (Harold) Schilling of Oakfield. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews..

Family and friends are cordially invited to share their thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Friday (December 18th) from 4-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 32 John St., Akron, NY. Her funeral service will be Saturday, 11:00am at High Point Community Church, 1163 Main Rd., Corfu, NY 14036. Interment will be in St. Teresa’s Cemetery in Akron, NY.
