Harry E. Dilcher, Sr.

Batavia - ­ Harry E. Dilcher, Sr., 87, of Muncy, PA, formerly of Batavia, passed away Friday, (December 25, 2015) ​at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Facility in Muncy, PA.

Mr. Dilcher was born October 8, 1928 in Bergen, the son of the late Fred and Mildred (Nye) Dilcher, Jr.

He served his country honorably with the Army during the Korean War. Many Elba residents will recall his barbershop that he ran from 1960 ­ 1970. Prior to retiring in 1991 from the housekeeping department at the VA Medical Center in Batavia, Mr. Dilcher worked in various businesses and industries.

Surviving are his children, Dr. Harry (Karen) Dilcher, Jr. of Muncy, PA; and Paul (Karin) Dilcher of Wyoming, MI. Seven grandchildren and twelve great­grandchildren also survive.

Harry is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Plue.

There will be no visitation and services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northgate Free Methodist Church, 8160 Bank Street Road, Batavia, NY 14020.
