Jane H. Cygan

Jane H. Cygan, age 93, of Perry, died on Sunday December 27, 2015 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born in Tonawanda, New York on May 25, 1922 a daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Hartig) Schumacher. She is preceded in death by her husband John A Cygan who passed away in 1982; sons Daniel and David Cygan; great grandson  Derek Richards and siblings Lllian, Robert, William and Kenneth Schumacher.

Jane worked for the former Perry Knitting Mill in Perry and retired in 1979 from the former Robeson Cutlery after 33 years of service.She was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Stanislaus Kostka Church). She enjoyed roller skating and dancing in her younger years. She was an avid euchre and pinochle player.

She is survived by a daughter Donna (Doug) Austin of Mims, FL; son Anthony “Skeeter” (Patricia) Cygan of Conroe, TX;  sister Delores Reitmeier of Kenmore; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 3-7pm on Wednesday December 30th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 7pm.She will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Perry.
