Kathleen I. Bobzin

Batavia - Kathleen I. Bobzin, 55, of Batavia, a Substance Abuse Aide at United Memorial Medical Center, passed away Thursday, (January 14, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester following a lengthy illness.

Ms. Bobzin was born March 21, 1960 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Irwin and Mildred (Larmon) Donovan.

Kathleen was a member of City Church, in Batavia and enjoyed bird watching, flowers, and gardening.  But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Amii (Nick Redding) Capuano, and Candice (Adam) Gonzalez both of Batavia; grandchildren, Siyara Capuano, Riley and Zoey Gonzalez; brothers, Timothy (Judy) Donovan of VA, and Robert Donovan of Batavia; sisters, Esther Garcia, and Hazel (late John) King both of Batavia.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Bobzin and her companion, Christopher Koch.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia.  Kathleen’s Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, (January 20, 2016) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc., 16 Bank Street, Batavia, NY 14020.  Burial will take place in the spring in Mannsville, NY.
