Marion G. Hebell

Marion G. Hebell, 89, formerly of Batavia and East Bethany, passed away on Thursday (January 28, 2016) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. 

She was born August 20, 1926 in Oakfield, NY, a daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth Erickson Earl. 

She was a former member of the State Committee of Women, the Genesee County Democratic Party and life member of the E. Bethany Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and surrogate mother to many children. She enjoyed sewing and retirement winters in Florida. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Russell ‘Butch” Hebell in 2012, daughter, Ann Adamski Hurley, grandson, Matthew Hebell and sisters, Leora Taylor, Selma Chick and Lillian Sargent.

Survivors include her son, David Hebell of Batavia. Duaghter, Linda (Russell) Sutfin of Wayland, NY. Grandchildren, Milissa Rector, Deanna Angel, Christina (Michael) Bak, Pamela Adamski and Charles Hebell. Great-grandchildren, Luke and Benjamin Bak, Bryson Adamski, Noah Rector, Jenna Jaszko and Olivia Walton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Thursday (February 4th) from 4-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA, NY. Her funeral service will be Friday, 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, E. Bethany.
