Ralph William "Billy" Strobel

LeRoy ~ Ralph William "Billy" Strobel, age 84, of Harris Road, passed away Thursday morning (Jan. 28, 2016) at Rochester General Hospital.

     He was born November 3, 1931 in Batavia, a son of the late Ralph and Jane Peterson Strobel.

     Mr. Strobel was best known for his woodworking abilities.  He was a self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker, having taken over his father's business.  He also enjoyed restoring antique cars.

     He is survived by his brothers, Albert (Mary) Strobel of Pavilion and Rev. Herbert R. Strobel of Erie, PA; his very close and dear friends, Carl Traxler and Dick Frew, along with many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister in law, Marge Strobel.

     Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 ~ 5 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  His funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the LeRoy First Baptist Church. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery will be private.  Memorials are suggested to the LeRoy First Baptist Church, 5 East Main St., LeRoy, N.Y. 14482
